Manufacturing Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supports the sustaining engineering team focused on legacy production equipment
• Highly hands-on role centered on keeping machines running and supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations
• Role breakdown: ~75% reactive troubleshooting and ~25% process improvement
• Not project-heavy or design-focused — priority is quick problem identification and resolution

Day-to-day responsibilities

• :Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues on semi-automated equipmen
• tBreakdown: ~50% mechanical, 25% electrical, 25% PLC (troubleshooting only, no programming
• )Support 3–4 key automated machines, including
• :Embedding machines (injecting detergent into sponge material
• )Packaging / flow wrap systems (cutting, wrapping, labeling
• )Pouching / forming equipmen
• tMultivac thermal forming and similar system
• sPartner with operators and technicians to identify daily output gap
• sPerform root cause analysis on downtime and performance issue
• sSupport process improvements and process change analysis (~monthly cadence
• )Assist with validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) during new equipment installs (a few times per year
• )Ensure compliance within a regulated (FDA/ISO) manufacturing environmen

t
