Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners in an elementary resource room. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while working closely with two primary grades. School hours are 8:35 am to 3:25 pm, allowing for a steady weekday routine. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through November or December.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support for students in an elementary resource room setting
- Serve as an advocate and guide for students in two primary grades, adapting strategies to their unique needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized educational plans
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress towards goals
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for diverse learners
