Position Overview

We are seeking an accurate and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team in Trumbull, CT. In this role, you will work directly under the Controller , managing daily transactions, maintaining precise data logs, and keeping our financial operations running efficiently. Because we operate four manufacturing facilities under strict medical cGMP and ISO 13485 standards, a high level of accuracy and a rigorous attention to detail are crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP): Organize, match, and process incoming vendor invoices against work and purchase orders. Coordinate with warehouse and inventory managers to ensure correct tracking of component paperwork.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Record customer receipts, input daily invoicing, and assist managers with customer collections or repayment inquiries.
• Data Entry & General Ledger Support: Input financial data accurately to correct General Ledger (GL), Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and departmental accounts.
• Bank & Inventory Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly ledger entries to support the Controller in bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Administrative Compliance: Manage and file physical and digital accounting documents, business insurance certificates, and medical manufacturing licenses.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a clerical office role. Experience in medical device manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments is a major plus.
• Software Proficiency: Robust familiarity with mainstream accounting software (such as QuickBooks) and strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Core Competencies: Extreme attention to detail, solid numerical capability, and strong verbal/written communication skills. Must maintain strict discretion and confidentiality regarding corporate financial matters.
