Job Description

The Shipping & Receiving Associate will play an important role in ensuring that raw materials are received accurately and that finished products are properly prepared and shipped to our customers on time.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials and supplies
• Compare incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation
• Record incoming materials accurately in company inventory systems
• Identify and report quantity, packaging, or material discrepancies
• Label, palletize, wrap, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other material-handling equipment
• Arrange and coordinate transportation for outgoing shipments
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, bills of lading, and other required paperwork
• Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy before loading
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and other departments regarding incoming and outgoing materials
• Respond to internal and customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery information
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping area
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Perform other warehouse, shipping, receiving, and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to handle a physical workload and regularly lift up to 50 pounds
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Ability to operate a manual-transmission box truck
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or inventory experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory and shipping software
• Good communication and organizational skills
