Experienced Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, with a commitment to both the legal and human aspects of the practice. This role involves managing a full caseload and contributing to the growth of the firm's family law practice. Duties Manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials. Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and court orders. Conduct legal research and develop case strategies. Advise clients regarding their legal rights, options, and potential outcomes. Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations. Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial. Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management. Maintain regular client communication and provide case updates. Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules. Requirements Minimum of 7-10 years of family law experience. Significant courtroom and hearing experience. Strong legal writing and advocacy skills. Experience negotiating settlements and participating in mediation. Strong interpersonal and client communication skills. Working knowledge of local rules in Durham, Wake, and surrounding counties. Education Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Certifications Active license in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar. Skills Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation skills. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
