Business Development Manager, AerospacePhoenix, AZ (Remote USA option, with travel to Phoenix HQ and customer sites)Compensation: $170,000 to $190,000This is a newly created Business Development Leader role supporting an aerospace and defense manufacturing division of a multi billion dollar parent company. The division generates approximately $500M in annual revenue and is looking to add a dedicated business development leader to manage existing customer relationships and pursue new customers in current and adjacent markets. The role can be based remotely within the USA, with regular travel to the Phoenix, AZ headquarters and to customer sites.ScheduleFull time. Remote work is supported, with travel required to Phoenix, AZ and customer locations as business needs dictate.Compensation$170,000 to $190,000 base, commensurate with experience.What You'll DoIn this role, you will manage a portfolio of designated accounts, working to achieve profitable sales volume and strategic growth targets. You will support estimating and proposal activities, following up on in process and submitted quotes, and will develop capture plans for strategic and target programs, part numbers, and customers. Staying current on industry intelligence, new program announcements, customer news, emerging technology, and aircraft platform rates will be part of your ongoing responsibility, as will supporting contract review and other activities tied to customer awards.You will build and maintain relationships with key strategic partners, industry leaders, and internal stakeholders, while identifying new customer opportunities within your designated accounts and regions. Working closely with business units, you will help develop and execute consistent customer strategies, support account planning and forecasting, and assist in resolving customer issues as they arise. You will proactively assess and validate customer needs, provide market updates to business units, and deliver high level presentations to customers, including sales materials created in support of company leadership.Day to day, this role includes standard sales functions such as data analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and CRM or database entry, along with tracking opportunities, building sales forecasts, and developing sales plans. You will also coordinate periodic joint reviews with key accounts and participate in continuous improvement, safety, and trade compliance activities relevant to the business.Required Qualifications8+ years of sales experience selling machined products into the aerospace and/or defense industryDemonstrated ability to prioritize competing priorities and meet short notice deadlinesStrong program management skillsProven customer relationship management skillsContract administration experienceStrong oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TeamsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience developing capture plans or supporting proposal execution for DoD or commercial aerospace programsPrior experience in a business development role with P&L or account level ownershipCompensation and BenefitsBase salary of $170,000 to $190,000Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time offTo apply, please submit your resume for consideration.
