Business Development Manager

Position Summary The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers. This role works closely with executive leadership, operations, engineering, estimating, and customer service to develop long-term partnerships and increase revenue across aerospace, defense, medical and commercial manufacturing markets. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with experience selling technical manufacturing or industrial services and possesses a strong understanding of metal finishing processes and supply chains. Key Responsibilities Develop annual sales plans to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals. Identify new OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and government contractors. Generate qualified leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and cold outreach. Conduct customer visits, facility tours, and technical presentations. Prepare RFQs, quotations, pricing proposals, and contract negotiations. Coordinate with estimating and production teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. Represent Perfection Industrial Finishing at trade shows, conferences, and industry association events. Develop strategic account plans for key customers. Assist with annual sales budgets and forecasting. Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues and maintaining ongoing communication. Support new product introductions and new process capabilities. Work closely with Operations, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to develop a thorough understanding of Perfection Industrial Finishing's production capabilities, capacity, and scheduling constraints Participate in regular production and scheduling meetings to stay informed of current capacity, bottlenecks, and upcoming availability that may impact new business opportunities. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of Business Development or Technical Sales experience. Experience selling manufacturing services, industrial coatings, or metal finishing. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 30-50%. Preferred Aerospace industry experience. Knowledge of NADCAP and AS9100 requirements. Familiarity with military specifications (MIL-SPEC), ASTM, AMS, and customer specifications. Existing relationships within aerospace, defense, manufacturing industries. #J-18808-Ljbffr
