RN Supervisor Opportunity

A well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Rockland County, NY, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the 3:00 PM 11:00 PM shift.

The RN Supervisor will provide clinical leadership and oversight of nursing operations during the evening shift. This position is ideal for an RN who combines strong clinical judgment with effective leadership skills and is committed to maintaining high standards of resident care.

The successful candidate will work closely with nursing leadership while supervising RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel to ensure residents receive safe, timely, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing activities during the 3:00 PM 11:00 PM shift.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing staff.
• Conduct resident rounds and monitor the quality and delivery of nursing care.
• Assess changes in resident condition and ensure appropriate interventions and follow-up.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and provide guidance to nursing staff as needed.
• Ensure physician orders, care plans, treatments, and medication protocols are properly followed.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned nursing personnel.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and promptly.
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and appropriate members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Ensure proper completion of incident and accident documentation and required follow-up.
• Monitor compliance with infection prevention and control practices.
• Ensure adherence to facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable federal and New York State regulations.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively supervise and motivate nursing staff.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of resident care standards, infection control, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
