Security Officer - Distribution Facility

Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or team members, and support security-related operations through clear communication and attentive presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM Tue 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM Wed 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM Thur 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM Fri 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site‑specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security‑related policies at the location. Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas, and report suspicious, restricted, or unauthorized items in accordance with post orders. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, docks, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations. Document screening results, incidents, and daily activities in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information during shift changes and/or to Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
