Surgical Technologist First Assistant - 159978 Tampa:St Josephs | Clinical | Full Time Description Position Description: Certified Surgical Technologist The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care. Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field. Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc. Assists with inventory of sterile supplies. May assist in patient transport. Location: Same Day Surgery - St Josephs Main and Childrens Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm On Call: No Requirements: Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience. Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross High School Diploma or Equivalent Specific Skills: Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up Interpersonal skills Join our Team of Surgical Technologists and Enjoy our Outstanding Benefits!
