Facilities Coordinator

Job DescriptionThe facilities Coordinator reports to the Technical Manager. This position will have direct management responsibility over all facilities equipment and support all areas for the Temple location. They are accountable for facilities maintenance functions for the Temple employees. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented; a strong environmental steward who works well with people at all levels in the organization. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of plant or facilities maintenance experience.Job Description:This position is a leader in the organization with accountability for facilities strategic and forward-thinking skills that will contribute to the overall performance of the plantCommunicates to all levels of the organization as neededMay be asked to assist in providing direction for the activities of hourly employees.Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Has the ability to actively listen and provide feedback to othersAssist supervisors and Manager to ensure safety protocols are followed across the plant facility.Works as a team member to promote teamwork among crew and peers.Manage multiple projects to effectively meet deadlines.Support multiple policies and contract initiatives such as preventative maintenance, landscaping and roofing maintenanceAble to manage fire systems and support annual inspections and repairsAble to identify opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement related facilities initiativesAssists leadership with managing multi-million dollar budget. Works with CI Manager to identify potential cost saving reductions and continuous improvement opportunities.For all new projects candidates will ensure that engineering principles such as DFR (design for reliability), PSSR (Pre-Start up Safety Review) and others are used and followedPerform periodic review for various parts of the plant of their preventative maintenance programs and service agreements related to infrastructure equipment, assuring that plant facilities and production equipment are properly maintainedAt times may be responsible for CIP submissions and coordination of capital activities.At times may be asked to assist with administrative, training and other tasks for the production maintenance and technical team.Qualifications A degree in engineering preferred, with 2+ years of applicable experience in engineering field with demonstrated project and process management skills OR 5+ years of equivalent work experience.Experience in packaging industry is preferredStrong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and negotiation skills required.Experience managing budgets is required.Experienced in Excel, Word & Microsoft ProjectExperience with SAP and AutoCAD is a plus.Previous hands-on experience working with any or all of infrastructure equipment listed above is desired. Familiarity working within manufacturing environment and with process equipment also desired.Ability to analyze and problem solve various technical related issues.Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities using good project management techniques
