Our properties live by the philosophy that they are an important part of their communities and look for ways to partner in the local community to make a difference.Job Description:A houseperson will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the commercial and common areas of the hotel; such as the lobby, lobby restrooms, banquet rooms, game room, elevators, hallways, entries, crossovers, stairwells, bar, cart rooms, guest and laundry area. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.The job is simple:Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs.Continuously exemplify and live by our Culture.Meet/exceed our company goals and three metrics.Complete all required trainingAdhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standardsPerform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guestsProvide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associateClean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference roomsPerform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtraysFollow a daily schedule of cleaning all areasGreet guests in a friendly mannerDeliver items to guest rooms when requestedReport maintenance deficienciesStock and maintain supply rooms, as neededPerform deep cleaning tasks and special projects as neededAssist in cleaning guest rooms, as neededNecessary Skills:Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assetsHave knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation proceduresAble to report to scheduled shiftsAble to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in personAble to work a flexible schedule.
