Work Environment

The position is based onsite in our outpatient office located in Arlington, VA. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic patient care. Our working hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, allow for both clinical work and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for each patient based on their unique needs and recovery goals.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and the use of specialized equipment, to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Monitor and document each patient's progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and goals.
• Educate patients and their families on self-management techniques, including proper equipment use and at-home exercises to promote recovery.
• Stay current with the latest research and developments in physical therapy practices by attending workshops and engaging with professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will encompass a diverse patient demographic, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. By assessing and addressing the varying needs of each patient, you will directly contribute to their recovery journey, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for successful rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, along with a valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in outpatient physical therapy is essential, demonstrating your ability to handle varied cases effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective patient education and team collaboration.
• Proficiency with digital record-keeping systems and other necessary software applications.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in treating a wide array of conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal, neurological, and pediatric cases.
• Familiarity with the use of modern physical therapy modalities and equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
