About the Role Under general direction of the Printing Process and Operations Supervisor, the Printing Process and Operations Planner (PPOP) performs the full range of printing planning functions and works with clients to develop printing methods, layouts, work processes, and provides consultations and/or recommendations on the full range of services that meet the client’s specific printing needs and Office of State Printing (OSP) capabilities. Job Responsibilities The primary responsibilities include developing printing methods, layouts, and processes; consulting with clients; and providing recommendations to ensure services meet client needs and OSP capabilities. PRINTING PROCESS AND OPERATIONS PLANNER Required Skills Strong customer service and communication skills Self-starter with a demonstrated history of showing initiative Knowledge of print estimating or process planning The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills None specified. Eligibility This position is eligible to telework up to one (1) day a week, per the Statewide Telework Policy. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. This position is Limited Term (12 months); it may become permanent, be extended up to 24 months, or be cancelled at any time. Applicants who have no State transfer or reinstatement eligibility may apply for a TAU appointment. The maximum duration of a TAU appointment is 9 months or will be terminated 60 days after the establishment of a list. To receive a permanent appointment after a TAU appointment, the candidate must compete in the administered exam, pass the exam, and place within the top 3 ranks. Applicants for TAU appointments must meet the minimum qualifications for the classification as noted in the class specification. A State application (STD. 678) with an original signature is required for all TAU hires. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
