Pay Range: $25.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications About the Position Part-Time Bookkeeper Empower Wealth & Tax Cedar Park, TX Part-Time | Year-Round | In-Office Pay Range: $25.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications About the Position Empower Wealth & Tax is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This position will support our firm's bookkeeping and payroll needs while also providing bookkeeping services for clients as needed. We are looking for someone who can independently maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, reconcile accounts, identify and correct discrepancies, and work collaboratively with our operations and tax teams. This is a year-round, in-office position based in Cedar Park, Texas and is not available for remote work. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for the firm and assigned clients Process company payroll accurately and on schedule Maintain payroll records, including payroll changes, deductions, and adjustments Record, review, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain and review general ledger accounts Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Review financial records for discrepancies, duplicate transactions, incorrect classifications, and other issues Perform bookkeeping cleanup and corrections when needed Prepare financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Work with our tax team to ensure bookkeeping records are complete and accurate for tax preparation Assist with year-end bookkeeping and tax preparation needs Communicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping questions, missing information, and documentation Maintain strict confidentiality of company, payroll, staff, and client financial information Qualifications Prior professional bookkeeping experience required QuickBooks experience required Payroll processing experience required Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Ability to independently identify and correct bookkeeping discrepancies Experience preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to independently manage bookkeeping responsibilities for multiple entities Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating directly with clients regarding bookkeeping matters Experience working in a tax, accounting, financial services, or professional services environment is preferred Position Details Location: Cedar Park, TX Employment: Part-Time, Year-Round Pay: $25.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Work Arrangement: In-Office Only; No Remote Work #J-18808-Ljbffr
