Government Relations Manager

Recognized as a subject-matter expert, the full-time remote Government Relations Manager will independently advance federal advocacy priorities related to medical research, public health, and higher education, while leading legislative analysis and coalition initiatives. Key responsibilities Lead advocacy planning and implementation for assigned policy priorities and legislative initiatives Develop strategic recommendations for leadership regarding emerging legislative opportunities and risks Manage day-to-day operations and advocacy strategies for the AAMC-led Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research Required qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in federal government relations, public policy, or related fields Recognized expertise in federal legislative processes, advocacy strategy, and coalition engagement Demonstrated experience leading significant advocacy initiatives and cross-functional projects Strong analytical skills and ability to track and analyze federal legislative issues Experience working with elected officials and handling advocacy communications Virtual Vocations Inc
