2027 Summer Intern PhD Student - Drug Product Development Analytical Sciences

$45 per hour

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks PhD students for a 10-week summer internship in drug product development analytical sciences. Interns will conduct guided research on analytical methods, separation science, and process analytics, working with mentors on projects involving chromatography, spectroscopy, and nanoparticle characterization.

Responsibilities

Develop, troubleshoot, and execute analytical methods under mentor guidance
Analyze, review, and document data in compliance with company standards
Collaborate with formulation scientists, analytical chemists, and process engineers
Prepare and deliver formal presentation of internship project findings
Work on projects involving field-flow fractionation, chromatography, and process analytics tools

Requirements

Currently enrolled PhD student in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field
Expected graduation between Fall 2027 and 2028
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Authorized to work in US; no visa sponsorship available
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively
Proficiency in data analysis software and tools
Experience in chromatography, detectors, polymer/lipid characterization, or spectroscopy/PAT

Compensation: $45/hour
