The successful candidate will have combination of direct experience developing both hardware and software Test Solutions in Electro-Optical/Infrared domain. The candidate must also understand lab environment testing concepts and integration of systems, sub-assemblies, and components. The applicant should have a strong background in 'C' code software development for PC based test and measurement applications and recent experience. Familiarity with Electrical Engineering hardware interfacing and electromechanical Test Systems is beneficial for this position.Our engineers are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective systems that meet the needs of our customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with teams of all sizes and enjoy a mix of creative design work, mentoring the next generation of protégés, developing White Papers, presenting internally and externally, and leading test events. At BAE Systems, cultural and behavioral principles are a special part of our engineering organization, which means we are looking for team players who have demonstrated experience working successfully in group settings and will support our commitment to diversity and inclusion.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Must be a US Citizen who has or can obtain a Secret Security ClearanceExperience with high performance data acquisition and control applicationsExperience with various communication protocols such as Ethernet TCP/IP, Telnet, RS-485, HotLink, IEEE-488, USB, etc.Background in Electrical Engineering and experience interfacing with Commercial Instrumentation such as Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters, Network Analyzers, Lasers etc.Experience in one or more software languages: ANSI C NI CVI, C++, C#, MATLABAdvanced circuit analysis skills to support troubleshooting and diagnosing issuesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering with 4 years of applicable experiencePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Experience creating and upgrading test equipment for use in productionExperienced background in Electro-Optical / Infrared Sensor systems, modeling, test and diagnostics, for active and passive system solutionsExperience with ingesting and post processing datasets into Oracle or similar database InterfacesPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
