Senior Data Scientist

Salary: $30,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering, quantitative analytics, financial technology, data engineering, AI engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong grounding in mathematics, statistics, and analytics, with the ability to apply quantitative methods to real-world investment and wealth management problems.
• Practical background in portfolio construction, investment analysis, asset allocation, risk modeling, investment research, or similar wealth and investment management areas.
• Strong Python programming skills, along with familiarity with data analysis libraries and software engineering best practices.
• Experience working with financial datasets, investment platforms, market data vendors such as FactSet, Bloomberg, or Morningstar, and portfolio analytics tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, APIs, databases, and modern software development lifecycle practices.
• Exposure to generative AI, machine learning, agentic applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or advanced analytics solutions.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines, integrating third-party data sources, and developing scalable analytical applications.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking ability, with a track record of translating complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across investment, product, and engineering teams.
• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for applying emerging AI technologies to complex financial and investment challenges.
• Preferred: experience supporting portfolio management, investment advisory, model portfolio, or wealth management platforms.
• Preferred: knowledge of optimization techniques, quantitative finance, portfolio construction methods, and risk analytics.
• Preferred: practical implementation experience with agentic AI solutions, MCP/A2A integration patterns, and automated evaluation and validation frameworks.
• Preferred: experience building production-grade AI applications in regulated financial services environments.

• Design and develop AI-powered applications, intelligent workflows, and agent-based solutions that support Wealth & Investment Management objectives.
• Build portfolio analytics, investment research, and decision-support solutions using market, client, and third-party data sources.
• Integrate and operationalize data from multiple investment platforms, market data providers, and financial systems to create scalable AI-ready data products.
• Develop APIs, data pipelines, automation frameworks, and reusable software components that speed up solution delivery.
• Apply quantitative and statistical techniques to portfolio construction, risk analysis, performance attribution, and investment insights.
• Assist in implementing retrieval, embedding, semantic search, and knowledge-driven capabilities to improve investment workflows.
• Support testing, model evaluation, monitoring, and operational activities to ensure solution quality, accuracy, and reliability.
• Contribute to shared frameworks, engineering standards, reusable assets, and technical documentation across the AI Garage.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices to support maintainability, scalability, and security.
• Continuously explore emerging AI, data science, and financial technology innovations to create differentiated business value.
