Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist. This role is onsite at our Troy, IL facility. Relocation is not provided for this position.The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Senior HR Generalist will recommend, plan, implement and coordinate a wide variety of Human Resource programs and policies and day-to-day personnel activities in accordance with legal, local, divisional and corporate guidelines. This individual will provide support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, and special projects. The Senior HR Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. Lastly, this individual will prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.In this role you will:Communicate and implement corporate, divisional and local HR policies/procedures.Coordinate the recruitment process for open hourly or salary positions and assistance in the selection and promotion process of hourly and salaried workforce.Partner with operations leadership and union representatives to resolve grievances in a timely and collaborative manner, supporting constructive labor-management relations.Handle day to day employee relations issues.Maintain affirmative action and EEO plans to meet federal, state and corporate guidelines.Serve as liaison between the Eaton Service Center and third-party providers for employee health and welfare benefits issues.Facilitate employee orientation program for new employees and employees transferring into facility.Support and help coordinate inclusion and diversity activities and Eaton Resource Groups (ERG) activities.Support efforts to maintain positive employee relations and plant culture through knowledge of policies and procedures and responses to employee concerns/needs.Support efforts to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of Human Resources DepartmentPartner with HR Services to complete employment record and compensation updates and auditsAdministrate the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separationsSupport the safety, quality, and continuous improvement frameworks across the plantWork in a safe manner and perform other duties as assigned within HR function.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a HR Generalist.No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within a 50-miles radius of Troy, IL to be considered. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1, H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, 1-485 job profitability, etc.Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in Human Resources or related degree.Five (5) years’ experience in human resourcesPrevious experience leading employee relations, training, on-boarding, workforce planning, & performance management initiatives.Experience and exposure to various manufacturing environments.Data analytics experience.Experience developing and tracking training programs.Skills:Ability to demonstrate discretion and ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential materials, and possess good business judgmentComputer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)Knowledge of HR Information SystemsGeneral knowledge of employment laws (such as the ADA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA) and ability to apply legal concepts to real world.Problem solving and analytical skillsOrganizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksAbility to understand, interpret and easily communicate and align policies and practices.All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
