Construction Scheduler / Project Engineer
Location: Blaine, WA

Position Summary
Tribal One Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Scheduler / Project Engineer to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. This hybrid role combines project scheduling, project controls, and engineering support responsibilities to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
The Construction Scheduler / Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, clients, Pre-construction Team, and design professionals to develop project schedules, monitor progress, manage project documentation, and provide technical and administrative support throughout all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Scheduling & Controls

•Develop and maintain baseline and resource-loaded construction schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software.
• Coordinate/schedule weekly meetings with each project's project team to build/revise 3 week look ahead schedules and/or cost loaded schedules.
•Monitor project progress and update schedules based on field reports and production data.
•Identify critical path activities, schedule constraints, delays, and recovery opportunities.
•Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports for internal and client review.
•Develop short-term look-ahead schedules to support field operations.
•Perform schedule impact analyses and assist with delay documentation.
•Coordinate scheduling activities with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Project Engineering

•Support project forecasting, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
•Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project correspondence.

•Review plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents for completeness and constructability.
•Assist Project Managers with project startup, procurement, contract administration, and closeout activities.
•Track and document change orders and potential cost impacts.
•Maintain accurate project records and document control systems.
•Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules.
•Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting summaries.

Field Coordination

•Conduct regular site visits to verify schedule progress and project status.
•Collaborate with Superintendents to resolve scheduling and constructability issues.
•Support subcontractor coordination and communication.
•Monitor project milestones and performance metrics.
•Assist with quality control and safety compliance initiatives.

Reporting & Communication  

•Generate project dashboards, schedule updates, and management reports.
•Track key performance indicators related to schedule and project performance.
•Present project status updates to leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
•Proactively identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications 

•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent construction experience may be considered.
•3+ years of experience in construction scheduling, project engineering, project controls, or project management support.
•Working knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and scheduling principles.
•Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.

•Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience supporting federal, tribal, public works, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
•Knowledge of USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, DOT, or other government construction requirements.
•Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
•PSP, CCM, PMP, EIT, or related professional certification.
•Experience with earned value management and project controls reporting.

Physical Requirements

•Ability to travel periodically to active construction sites.
•Ability to walk uneven terrain and navigate active construction environments.
