About the Opportunity

• An established behavioral health provider in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a compassionate, Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join their multidisciplinary mental health team. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a supportive clinical environment, manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to a diverse community.
• Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and risk determinations for adult outpatient populations.
• Provide evidence-based psychotropic medication management and ongoing monitoring.
• Formulate individual treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy, brief psychotherapy interventions, and lifestyle guidance.
• Collaborate closely with attending Psychiatrists, clinical social workers, therapists, and care managers to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain complete, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications

• Master s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Post-Master s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered New York State Nurse Practitioner License (PMHNP).
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC via ANCC).
• Active New York DEA registration and Controlled Substance license.
• Prior outpatient psychiatric experience preferred (motivated candidates with strong clinical rotations/RN experience considered).
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a strong plus in this community setting.
