Weekend Baylor Caregiver (Full-Time Hours in Just Two Days!) Des Moines, IA

Are you looking for meaningful work and a schedule that gives you your weekdays back? Senior Helpers is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers for our Weekend Baylor position—work two 16‑hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, then enjoy Monday through Friday off.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a real impact while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

About the Role

As a Weekend Baylor Caregiver, you’ll provide high‑quality, in‑home support that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent. You’ll build genuine relationships while assisting with essential daily needs.

Schedule

Saturday: 16‑hour shift
Sunday: 16‑hour shift
Monday–Friday: Off

Key Responsibilities

Activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming
Companionship and emotional support
Meal preparation and feeding assistance
Light housekeeping and laundry
Medication reminders
Mobility assistance, transfers, and positioning
Observing and reporting changes in client condition

Qualifications

Care giving experience preferred (professional or personal)
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Able to work 16‑hour shifts with professionalism and attentiveness
Strong communication skills
Reliable transportation
Comfortable working in homes with pets (including cats)
