Responsibilities

• Distributor Partnership & Support: Collaborate with distributor sales representatives and management through ride-alongs, product cuttings, samples, product demonstrations, sales meetings, and training.

• New Business Development: Identify, prospect, pitch, and secure new specialty retail grocery, butcher, artisan food, restaurant, and foodservice accounts.

• Account Management & Growth: Manage existing key accounts, maintain distributor relationships, process inbound orders, optimize product mix, increase sales volume, and execute promotional programs.

• Retail Merchandising & CPG Strategy: Implement in-store merchandising strategies that align with Legacy Maker Farms' brand standards.

• Marketing & Social Content: Capture product and merchandising photos in retail environments and collect voluntary product testimonials from retailers and consumers.

• Sales Reporting & Analysis: Use CRM tools, sales data, syndicated market reports, scan data, and distributor depletion reports to monitor performance, identify growth opportunities, and report territory ROI.

• Internal Coordination: Work with the production and customer support teams at the Fairmount, Indiana facility to support customer needs and business operations.

• Territory Development: Build strong customer relationships and expand brand presence across the assigned multi-state territory.

• Travel & Customer Engagement: Travel regularly to meet customers, support distributor teams, conduct product demonstrations, and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of B2B sales experience in protein, foodservice, and/or retail CPG food sales.

• Must be based in central Indiana with convenient access to major travel routes within the assigned territory.

• Experience developing new accounts and managing existing customer relationships.

• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Ability to present products and business opportunities to retail buyers, executive chefs, and distributor leadership.

• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Workspace.

• Ability to analyze sales data, distributor reports, and market information to identify growth opportunities.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.

• Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to brand integrity and excellent customer service.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
