Global/US Insights & Analytics Director, CVRM - Dyslipidemia

As the Global/US Insights & Analytics Director, you will be the strategic engine behind a high-profile franchise focused on reducing cardiovascular risk and improving outcomes for millions of people. Your work will guide positioning, investment, and execution, from early lifecycle through launch and scale across the US and global markets.

You will integrate primary research, forecasting, real-world data, and competitive intelligence into a single, compelling narrative that senior leaders act on. Partnering closely with the Global Brand Team, US stakeholders, and cross-functional colleagues in Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, and local markets, you will define the questions that matter, choose the right methods, and translate evidence into clear recommendations. Accountabilities:

• Foundational Insight Generation: Ensure primary market research yields relevant, actionable, and differentiating insights; lead initiatives such as HCP and patient segmentations, unbranded and branded lexicon and message testing, creative concept testing, demand studies, and target patient identification.
• Global and US Brand Strategy Partnership: Convert insight gaps into research questions and shape brand positioning and messaging, constructively challenging assumptions while supporting critical decisions across the franchise.
• Local Market Insight Advocacy: Champion the use of local customer insights in strategic and resourcing choices, ensuring global direction is informed by on-the-ground realities.
• KPI Design and Performance Measurement: Partner with Brand, Commercial Excellence, and Analytics teams to define and track KPIs aligned to strategic drivers; collect, assess, and deliver global and regional brand performance metrics.
• Real-World Data and Advanced Analytics: Collaborate with Brand Analytics and data scientists to leverage claims, EMR, and other patient-level data to understand physician and patient behavior and drive strategy implementation.
• Commercial Assessment and Lifecycle Decisions: Lead commercial evaluations, including qualitative and quantitative research, product profile testing, claims analysis, and patient research, to build robust business cases for lifecycle investments.
• Storytelling and Executive Influence: Synthesize findings from market research, forecasting, analytics, and competitive intelligence into clear narratives and recommendations; communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders.
• Compliance and Governance: Manage all primary research in accordance with internal AstraZeneca compliance policies.
• Capability Building and Continuous Improvement: Promote a test-and-learn mindset, continuously improving methods and deploying new capabilities that elevate decision quality and speed.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 8+ years of insights and analytics experience in the biopharmaceuticals industry
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative market research across multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., HCPs, patients, and payers)
• Proven ability to conduct analytics using secondary data sources in the biopharmaceutical industry (IQVIA, Symphony, Prognos, Decision Resources/Clarivate, patient-level datasets) and performance tracking
• Good business acumen, strategic thinking, and understanding of sales and marketing business practices
• Ability to influence laterally and vertically
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments to demanding deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as teamwork abilities
• Comfortable working in a matrix environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Occasional travel may be required
• Bachelor’s degree in a business, commercial, scientific, or related field

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience in application of advanced methods and statistical procedures on large and disparate datasets
• Proficiency in manipulating and extracting insights from large longitudinal data sources such as claims, EMR, and other patient-level datasets
• An advanced degree is preferred (Master’s, MBA, or PhD)
