Work Environment\n

This position offers the opportunity for remote work while also requiring in-person interaction within the community health clinic setting. The clinic provides a safe and structured environment where our team operates collaboratively to meet the mental health needs of inmates. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts to ensure comprehensive coverage for mental health services, including on-call responsibilities for urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for inmates, considering each individual’s personal history, presenting issues, and risk factors to formulate a clear understanding of their needs.

• Collaboratively develop and implement evidence-based individualized treatment plans that focus on addressing mental health challenges and facilitating emotional stability and successful reintegration into the community.

• Utilize various therapeutic methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, to provide effective interventions tailored to the diverse mental health concerns of inmates.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting emotional resilience, personal development, and the acquisition of effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, to deliver cohesive mental health care and coordinate treatment plans.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques while identifying the need for higher levels of care when necessary.

• Educate inmates and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options available, and community resources to empower them in the care process.

• Maintain precise, up-to-date documentation of mental health assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and comply with legal and ethical standards to ensure accountability.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and staff development activities, enhancing collaborative practice and knowledge sharing.

• Stay informed on current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to mental health within a correctional context, ensuring practices align with best standards.

Qualifications\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
