Senior Accountant

Montebello, CA

$35-43/hour, based on experience

Contract To Hire; Full-Time | Fully Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing company in the Montebello area. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has strong experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Controller with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Maintain accuracy of financial records and ensure transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger
• Perform account reconciliations and detailed account analysis across multiple entities
• Manage fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close processes, reporting, and financial analysis
• Prepare various business filings and tax-related reports including sales and use tax filings
• Support preparation of borrowing base reports and royalty reporting
• Generate weekly and monthly operational and sales-related reports for leadership review
• Assist with annual audits, outside accounting reviews, and bank reporting requirements
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet reporting skills
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Sage 100 Contractor experience is a plus
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Pay Details: $35.00 to $43.00 per hour
