We are seeking an Interim Senior Staff Accountant to join our North Hollywood team during a critical transition period. This temporary, two-month assignment offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in month-end close processes and consolidated financial statements preparation. The role involves collaborating within a small team while working independently to support key financial reporting activities for a leading manufacturer of commercial restroom accessories.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information
- Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
- Assist with process improvements and special accounting projects
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience supporting month-end close processes
- Proven ability to prepare consolidated financial statements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing within a team environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Friendly, coachable, and collaborative personality
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or CPA candidate
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience consolidating foreign entities
- Experience accounting for foreign currency transactions
- Experience with OneStream or similar financial reporting and consolidation systems
