Outside Sales Representative Location: Houston, TX 77073 (office and field-based) Compensation: $75,000–$100,000 base, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible office and field schedule) Travel: Primarily throughout Texas, with customers located nationwide Additional Benefits: Car allowance, fuel card, and reimbursable business travel expenses The Opportunity We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join an established company specializing in HDPE pipe systems and related products and services . This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on growing existing customer accounts, developing new business, and providing technical product solutions to customers across industrial and project-based markets. The ideal person will enjoy being out in the field, meeting with customers, building relationships with contractors and project engineers, and identifying opportunities to grow business. This position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped monthly commissions, and significant earning potential , with top-performing sales representatives earning $250,000+ annually. Why They're Hiring The company is preparing for a transition within its outside sales team and is looking for someone who can step in, develop relationships, and continue growing its customer base. The new representative will have the opportunity to train alongside an experienced salesperson , learning the company's products, customers, and sales processes before fully taking ownership of the territory. The company has an established customer base throughout the United States, with much of its sales activity concentrated in Texas. This person will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships while identifying new customers and opportunities for continued growth. What You'll Do You’ll partner closely with Inside Sales, Operations, vendors, and the General Manager to develop new business, support existing customers, and drive sales growth. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability across existing and new accounts. Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers throughout the assigned territory. Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through regular communication and relationship management. Sell HDPE pipe systems and related products and services to commercial and industrial customers. Meet with customers to understand project requirements, product needs, and purchasing decisions. Build relationships with contractors, project engineers, customers, and vendors . Provide technical product support and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customers receive appropriate solutions. Identify customer project requirements, specifications, and potential challenges. Manage sales opportunities from initial contact through closing. Work toward established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Maintain strong vendor relationships and help resolve customer or product-related concerns. Partner with Inside Sales and other departments to coordinate customer orders and project requirements. Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and marketing activities. Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and opportunities in CRM and ERP systems. Communicate regularly with the General Manager regarding sales activity, opportunities, and territory performance. Travel to customer locations and project sites as needed. What They're Looking For The biggest priority is finding someone who can build customer relationships, develop new business, and successfully sell technical products in a competitive market . The ideal candidate will have: 2+ years of sales experience required , preferable in outside sales or B2B sales. Experience selling HDPE pipe, piping systems, industrial products, construction materials, or related technical products highly preferred. High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience developing new accounts and growing existing customer relationships. Ability to work with contractors, engineers, industrial customers, and project stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to understand technical product specifications and customer project requirements. Comfortable prospecting, meeting with customers, and managing a sales territory independently. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP systems and CRM programs. Willingness to travel primarily throughout Texas, with occasional travel to other markets as needed. Compensation & Commission Structure The company offers a competitive compensation package with uncapped earning potential . Base Salary: $75,000–$100,000, depending on experience. Commission Cap: None. Top Earning Potential: $250,000+ annually in total compensation. Additional Benefits: Car allowance and fuel card.
