Special Education Teacher - La Fayette, Georgia

Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students in a supportive school environment near La Fayette, GA. This role is perfect for passionate educators ready to inspire young learners and foster inclusive classrooms during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Special Education Certification
  • Previous experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
  • Effective communication abilities with students, staff, and families
  • Dedication to creating a positive, engaging, and adaptive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and support for a dedicated caseload of elementary students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure student success
  • Conduct assessments, maintain records, and regularly communicate progress to families and school teams
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere that celebrates each child’s unique contributions

This full-time contract begins August 7, 2026, and concludes May 25, 2027. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, making a measurable impact on a dynamic group of students. Compensation is offered at $37 per hour, reflecting your professional expertise and dedication.
