AI/ML Platform Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience
• Experience with modern architecture patterns, such as microservices, reactive architectures, or event-driven architectures
• Experience developing and deploying large language model-powered solutions using prompt design, agent workflows, tool integration, and retrieval-augmented generation
• Programming experience in at least two modern languages or frameworks, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, React, or Node.js
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and tuning performance in large-scale applications
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization or orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or Cassandra
• Knowledge of engineering practices including refactoring, design patterns, test-driven development, continuous integration and delivery, and application security
• Hands-on experience with company-approved AI-assisted software development tools, including validating and refining their outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Preferred: Experience with HTML, CSS, and a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Preferred: Experience or knowledge of model governance and data governance
• Preferred: Experience building internal platforms or developer experience tools that support machine learning delivery and operations

• Build and improve platform capabilities for model and feature registries, promotion policies, and governance tools
• Design and deliver services for data preparation, annotation workflows, lineage, and auditability
• Develop cloud-native microservices and APIs for scalable model delivery and operations
• Create LLM-powered capabilities, including prompt design, agent workflows, and retrieval, to deliver grounded and reliable outcomes
• Produce architecture and design documentation and ensure implementations meet performance, resiliency, and security requirements
• Use company-approved AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and speed, validating results through reviews, testing, and secure coding practices
• Analyze telemetry and user feedback, and develop reporting and metrics to support ongoing improvement
• Identify issues and patterns in systems and data, and improve code health, observability, and platform architecture
