Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverviewThe Residential AV Technician works both independently and as part of a team to install and configure home automation, audio/video, and related systems in residential environments. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, maintaining professionalism on-site, and ensuring client satisfaction. The Residential AV Technician has a solid working knowledge of AV systems and installation techniques and is motivated to continue learning and advancing within the company.Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, connect, and configure AV systems including speakers, TVs, projectors, home theaters, and distributed audio/video systemsRun and terminate low voltage cabling for AV, network, and control systemsMount TVs, racks, and other system hardware safely and cleanlyComplete system setup and testing to ensure functionality and performancePerform basic troubleshooting of installed systemsAssist with lighting, shading, surveillance, and security installations under guidanceMaintain project documentation and report daily progress to the Project ManagerCollaborate with senior technicians and other team members to complete installations efficientlyExhibit professionalism, cleanliness, and excellent customer service on every job siteFollow company safety and quality standards at all timesContinue to develop knowledge through training, certifications, and hands-on experienceJob Requirements (or Comparable Experience)Minimum 2–3 years of AV field experienceHigh school diploma or GEDBasic understanding of control systems (Control4, RTI, URC, Savant, etc.) preferredPCNA or comparable networking certification a plusStrong understanding of AV components, signal flow, and connectivityAbility to read and follow wiring diagrams, floor plans, and scopes of workExcellent communication and teamwork skillsDetail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple tasks effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills and initiative in the fieldMust maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving recordAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders, lifts, and at elevated heightsClean background check and drivers check requiredPosition DetailsLocation: Charlotte, NCJob Type: Full-TimePay: SalariedDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
