Optomi, in partnership with a leading real estate organization, is seeking a Real Estate Audio Video Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina. Position Summary: This is a fully onsite opportunity based in Piedmont Town Center in Charlotte's SouthPark area, with approximately 20-30% travel. This is a six-month contract-to-hire position with expected conversion to a permanent role. The Real Estate Audio Video Technician will support daily operations involving audio/video design, conference room technology, new office construction, installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. This role will be responsible for helping scope new A/V projects, identifying equipment needs, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, performing installations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring conference rooms and related technology are fully operational. Must-Haves: 3–5 years of corporate audio/video installation experience Experience installing and configuring video conferencing systems Hands‑on experience with technologies such as Neat, ScreenCloud, Crestron, Extron, Sharp, Samsung, Polycom, or Chief Ability to read and implement electronic CAD designs Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and high standards for workmanship Ability to travel approximately 20–30% Valid credit card that can be used for travel expenses such as flights, hotels, and rental cars; all approved expenses will be reimbursed Additional Experience: The following experience is helpful, but not required: Bluebeam or CAD viewers Calculating viewing distances and elevation heights Working with subcontractors Cable TV provider coordination Help desk or remote troubleshooting New office construction or workplace technology deployments Professional A/V cabling, lacing, and equipment presentation Main Responsibilities: Scope A/V equipment needs for new projects based on floor plans and project requirements Quote, order, track, and install audio/video equipment Calculate and verify elevation heights for TVs and video conferencing systems Edit or interpret drawings for room layouts and equipment placement Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot video conferencing systems Support conference rooms, presentations, and video meetings Troubleshoot A/V issues remotely and in person Coordinate repairs and ensure all A/V equipment remains fully operational Work with vendors and subcontractors on new installations and upgrades Support digital signage and related workplace technology Create and maintain technical procedures and documentation Scope and execute proof‑of‑concept projects Evaluate and recommend new A/V technologies and solutions Coordinate cable TV installations and related scopes of work Educate end users and provide professional support across all levels of the organization Travel approximately 20–30% for installations, projects, and support needs What the Right Candidate Will Enjoy: Owning A/V projects from initial planning through installation and final testing Working hands‑on with conference room and workplace technology Supporting new office construction and technology deployments Troubleshooting a wide variety of audio/video issues Collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams Working directly with end users and helping create reliable meeting experiences Traveling to support installations and projects across different locations Working in an environment that values professionalism, punctuality, initiative, and a strong team‑first attitude Logistics: Location: Charlotte, NC Work Arrangement: Fully onsite when not traveling Schedule: Approximately 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Contract: 6‑month contract‑to‑hire Travel: Approximately 20–30% Travel expenses are reimbursed, but candidates must have a valid credit card available for travel bookings Interview Process: Initial 30‑minute Teams interview, followed by a video panel with the broader team, then a final interview #J-18808-Ljbffr
