This long-term substitute position is based in northeast Minneapolis and runs from September 8, 2026, through December 18, 2027, with a consistent weekday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM (38.75 hours per week). Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education licensure; Tier 3 or Tier 4 preferred
• Previous experience teaching students in grades K-8 is a plus
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working with diverse learners
• Strong communication skills with an ability to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Proficient at developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to maintain detailed records and adhere to legal requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in grades K-8
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to create optimal learning environments
• Assess student progress and regularly communicate updates to families and team members
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies in line with IEPs to help each student reach their potential
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom atmosphere
