Now is the time to jump on board with one of Long Island’s longest standing and finest defense / aerospace manufacturers and take full advantage of their excellent benefits package and long term job security.Specific ResponsibilitiesProduces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.Responsible for maintaining quality control of all parts produced on CNC machines.Responsible for all the processes of the CNC Machines (Setups, loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, milling, turning, drilling, taping, all bench operations, and inspect).Inspect and measure all in process and finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications.Capable of running multiple machines concurrently, when tasked.Report and document any equipment malfunctions to direct supervisor.Work within the standard operation procedures and job safety parameters.Operate one or more machines on a daily basis depending solely on the needs of the organization.Basic machine maintenance (oils, coolants in accordance with TPM sheets).Skills Required3 – 5 years of CNC Operating experience – Aerospace Manufacturing experience preferred.Machinery experience in any of the following a Plus:Milling: Mazak, OKK, NiigataLathes: Mazak, PumaAbility to read and understand specs and drawingsAbility to operate machine center working within /-.0005 tolerances, adjust machines accordinglyLoad tool or replace broken insert and adjust offsets accordinglyUse of standard tool including Micrometer, Height gauge, etc.Inspect parts to drawingKnowledge of deburring equipment a plusAbility to lift up to 50 poundsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
