Purpose & Scope

This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols.

Principle Responsibilities

90% - Livestock movements: loading and unloading swine
10% - Other duties as assigned (feed haul, moving equipment, etc.)
Communication with various departments

Travel

Local travel approx. 30 mile local farm radius

Required Qualifications

Valid Non-Expired Class A CDL
Live haul experience preferred, but not required
Strong communication and listening skills
Lift/Carry heavy objects approximately 60lbs
Constant walking, bending, pushing, pulling
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics
Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions

Preferred Skills

1 year driving experience preferred
Animal handling experience preferred but not required; will provide training
Ability to work in tight spaces; trailer compartment
