Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Job Description The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility: manage informed consent, provide AIDS education, conduct medical history interviews, perform physical examinations, and conduct blood testing. Review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE), and notify donors of unsuitable results. Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies in accordance with SOPs and the Center Physician’s standing orders. Refer donor findings or medical concerns to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine the need for additional evaluation by occupational health or ER. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or recognized nursing program, including state requirements. Current state licensure or certification: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfil state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Minimum two years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Location and Compensation USA – MT – Missoula Hourly wage range: $31.68 – $43.56. The actual wage will depend on qualifications, experience, and location.
