In this role, you'll oversee dishwashing operations, manage equipment and supply inventories, and maintain compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. Your leadership will keep kitchen operations running smoothly, supporting culinary and food & beverage teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.Who You Are:Clear Communicator: You set expectations with confidence and foster a positive, collaborative work environmentEmpowering Leader: You delegate effectively, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to drive team successOperational Expert: You understand the cleaning, maintenance, and organization of kitchen equipment and dining areas inside and outSafety Advocate: You uphold health and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards at all timesInventory Strategist: You manage supplies with precision, keeping kitchens stocked and organized for seamless operationsVeterans and military spouses are encouraged to applyWhat You'll Do:Lead and supervise the stewarding team, assigning tasks and ensuring all responsibilities are covered throughout each shiftMonitor team performance, providing hands-on training, coaching, and feedback to maintain consistent service excellenceOversee the cleaning and sanitation of dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and kitchen equipment, ensuring everything meets Loews' high standardsEnsure dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment operate efficiently, reporting malfunctions promptly for repairCoordinate the cleaning of kitchen areas, storage spaces, and back-of-house areas to maintain a spotless and organized environmentEnforce proper safety procedures and hygiene protocols to prevent accidents and contaminationMonitor compliance with health department regulations, including food safety and sanitation guidelinesAssist with inventory management for cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring the department is well-stocked and organizedOversee safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standardsCollaborate with banquet, culinary, and outlet teams to ensure all necessary equipment such as trays, glassware, and cutlery is available and prepared for eventsSupport event setup and breakdown, coordinating with banquet and culinary teams for seamless executionManage the return and proper storage of equipment after events, ensuring accountability and organizationFoster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment that encourages productivity and cooperationStep in to manage day-to-day floor operations in the absence of the Executive Steward or Assistant Executive StewardAttend Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings as needed and prepare setups according to established standardsRegular attendance in conformance with standardsMay be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needsRequired to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetingsPerform other duties as assignedYour Qualifications Include:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a mid-volume stewarding operation within an upscale hotel or restaurant preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficientlyExcellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficientlyPhysical ability to perform duties, including lifting heavy items, standing for long periods, and operating cleaning equipmentWho You'll Supervise:Stewarding DepartmentLoews Hotels & Co is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances. #J-18808-Ljbffr Loews Hotels & Co
