The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine – Children’s University Medical Group (MFM-CUMG) at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment beginning October 1, 2026. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The base salary range for this position will be: $25,000 - $37,500 per month ($300,000 - $450,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Base salary determinations within that range will depend on academic rank. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the CUMG practice plan in addition to base salary provided by UW. Please note that only compensation provided by the UW is included in UW benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by the CUMG practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through the CUMG practice plan.

This posting will fill multiple openings in the greater Puget Sound Region in ambulatory community-based clinics, with an academic appointment and affiliations. UW Medicine is the premier academic medical center in Washington state, encompasses 4 hospitals in the Seattle metro area and is the primary referral hospital for the five-state WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region. Seattle Children’s Hospital is one of the top ten nationally ranked children’s hospitals, and #1 in the Pacific Northwest and Washington state.

Joining the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine within the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan provides a broad scope of clinical opportunities including: treating the most complicated fetal anomalies and maternal conditions in a diverse patient population, reading and interpreting obstetric ultrasounds, collaborating with subspecialists from both UW and SCH, including fetal diagnosis and in utero therapy, consulting and comanaging complex maternal and obstetric conditions with obstetric providers in the in-patient and out-patient settings.

Candidates will be expected to perform outpatient obstetrical imaging, will be expected to work in high-volume outpatient clinical practices, providing in-patient consultative services, and will be expected to work in and build teams. The successful candidate will benefit from the strong collaborative and interdisciplinary culture that exists within our department and the broader UW and SCH communities. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service.

Qualifications

Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Candidates must have a MD degree and must have completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, candidates must be board certified and/or board eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. A foreign equivalent is acceptable.
• All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license.
