Director of Clinical Operations (RN) – Hospice | Burlington, NJ Vitality Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as a Director of Clinical Operations in Burlington, New Jersey . Replacement position This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical leader in hospice or home health to oversee interdisciplinary teams, drive quality patient care, and lead operational excellence within a clinician-owned hospice organization. Position Overview The Director of Clinical Operations (RN) is responsible for overseeing all clinical services, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and patient care outcomes. This role partners closely with leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered hospice care. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all clinical operations and patient care services within hospice programs Lead and facilitate Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings to ensure effective care planning Supervise, mentor, and evaluate RNs, LPNs, Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), Social Workers, and other clinical staff Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with CMS , CHAP , and New Jersey state regulations Monitor and maintain compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and regulatory standards Collaborate with Compliance to develop and implement clinical education and training programs Conduct facility visits to strengthen partnerships and support patient care delivery Oversee operational metrics, including staffing, scheduling, payroll, mileage reimbursement, and supply costs Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and service recovery efforts Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey Minimum 2+ years of hospice, home health, or palliative care experience Minimum 1+ year of clinical leadership or supervisory experience as a Clinical Manager, Director of Nursing, Supervisor, or similar role Strong knowledge of: Hospice regulations, including CMS and CHAP requirements End-of-life care and pain and symptom management Care planning, documentation compliance, and IDT processes Experience with staff supervision , performance management and team leadership Excellent clinical decision-making , crisis intervention , and family communication skills Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary plus performance-based bonuses 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Mileage reimbursement Referral bonus program Tapcheck on-demand pay Pet Insurance Professional development and career-growth opportunities Team appreciation events and a positive work culture Why Join Vitality Hospice?
