Founding Engineer

Shelby is on a mission to eliminate the friction of relocation forstartups and their new hires. Finding a home in a competitivemarket like the Bay Area is stressful and time-consuming. We are atech-enabled service that manages the entire relocation process,from housing search to move-in, allowing new hires to beproductive from day one. What You'll Do Design and build the core technology that powers our managedrelocation service. Develop internal tools for our Relocation Coordinators andexternal-facing dashboards for clients (HR) and their employees. Work across the full stack, from front-end UI/UX to back-endarchitecture and database management. Collaborate directly with the founder to define product strategyand the engineering roadmap. Establish engineering best practices, from coding standards andtesting to CI/CD and infrastructure. What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with astrong portfolio of web applications you've built. Proficiency in modern web technologies (e.g., React/Vue/Svelte,Node.js, Python/Django, etc.). We value strong fundamentals overspecific framework experience. A product-minded approach. You care about the "why" behind whatyou're building and can contribute to product decisions. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to workindependently. Strong communication skills and a desire to be part of a small,collaborative team.
