Job Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for patients throughout pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, employing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft customized treatment plans that target both immediate objectives and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice production, and swallowing functions.
• Engage in teamwork with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to advance progress during off-hours.
• Participate in the occasional evaluation and intervention of inpatient speech therapy, fostering a seamless continuum of care.
• Keep accurate and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Continue professional growth by staying informed of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative efforts with peers.

Educational Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet acquired.

Certifications Required

• State licensure valid as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement.
