Description

• Conduct evaluations to assess pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that consider immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing needs.
• Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, ensuring an integrated approach to care.
• Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to guarantee seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Document patient interactions and treatments promptly, in accordance with all state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain up-to-date on advancements in the field via continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet possessing ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
