Accounting Manager - 777 Third Avenue, New York, NY

As the Manager of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects related to our property portfolio. You will lead a team of accountants, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and optimization of financial processes. Your role will be pivotal in driving strategic decision‑making by providing insights into property financial performance and implementing efficient accounting practices, as well as building and maintaining both internal and external client relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements for the property portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Manage and coordinate the recording, reimbursement and related intercompany/payroll entries for all the Rose managed properties. Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal clients/stakeholders through regular engagement and strategic communication. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, government filing, tax regulations, and internal policies related to property accounting. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices across the property accounting function. Manage and mentor a team of property accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development. Communicate financial performance, insights, and recommendations to senior management, investors, and other stakeholders as required. Coordinate audits and due diligence processes related to property financials, ensuring readiness and compliance. Evaluate and implement accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of property accounting processes. Must be present on‑site, with the ability to move throughout the building, ensuring effective communication with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors. Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred. 8 to 10 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance, with a track record of progressive responsibility, including managing a team of property accountants. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations relevant to property accounting, including GAAP and tax laws. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques specific to property management. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders. Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and adding value to the organization’s property portfolio. Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software, to include Microsoft Office, Yardi, accounting software and ERP systems. Work authorization (required).
