What You’ll Do as a DSP

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide person-centered support that helps individuals live safely, confidently, and as independently as possible. Responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care and daily living support

• Encouraging skill-building and independence

• Supporting meaningful routines, relationships, and community involvement

• Assisting with medication reminders or administration as trained and authorized

• Transporting or accompanying individuals to appointments, outings, and activities

• Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Building positive, trusting, and respectful relationships

• Promoting safety, inclusion, dignity, and choice

• Completing service documentation and communicating important updates

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to successfully complete background checks and drug screening

• A genuine desire to make a positive and lasting impact
