We create active learning experiences that help people build real skills by making things—whether they’re coding a game, writing a story, or bringing history to life. Our learning platforms are offered through libraries and other organizations, giving learners opportunities to explore their interests, express their creativity, and discover what they’re capable of.

We’re looking for a warm, energetic Community Programs Manager to help make those experiences even more engaging.

This person will be the friendly face of Fiero’s live virtual programs and virtual competitions. You’ll welcome learners, create an encouraging atmosphere, celebrate their work, and help them feel like they’re part of a creative community.

You do not need to be a coding, writing, or history expert. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable following a program plan, connecting with learners, and making online experiences feel fun and personal.

What You’ll DoHost Fiero Live Programs

You’ll host weekly virtual programs for learners using our coding, creative writing, and history platforms. Think of it like a Twitch-style livestream where you’ll:

• Welcome participants and create a fun, inclusive environment
\n
• Introduce activities and guide learners through the program
\n
• Encourage participation and celebrate what learners create
\n
• Keep programs organized, engaging, and on schedule
\n
• Become a familiar and encouraging face within the Fiero community
\n

Training, activity plans, and platform guidance will be provided. Subject-matter expertise is not required.

Manage Virtual Competitions

Fiero hosts virtual competitions that give learners opportunities to create projects, share their work, and be recognized. You’ll serve as both the administrator and public face of these events.

Responsibilities will include:

• Setting up competition information and materials
\n
• Communicating rules, deadlines, and updates
\n
• Recording and distributing mid-competition videos to keep people engaged
\n
• Coordinating judging and results
\n
• Announcing winners and celebrating participants
\n
• Helping each competition feel exciting, welcoming, and memorable
\n

Promote Programs to Learners

You’ll help learners discover and participate in Fiero Live programs and competitions by:

\n
• Writing and scheduling promotional emails
\n
• Creating in-app announcements and messages
\n
• Sending reminders and program updates
\n
• Finding creative ways to increase participation
\n
• Reviewing engagement and identifying opportunities for improvement
\n

Experience in education, libraries, youth programming, community management, online events, or customer engagement is helpful, but not required.

Schedule and Work Environment

This is a remote, part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week.

Much of the administrative work can be completed on a flexible schedule. However, you must be available, prepared, and on time for scheduled Fiero Live programs and other virtual events.

Because this role involves appearing on camera, you’ll need:
