Senior Fund Accountant

Our client is an asset management firm. They seek a Senior Fund Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and administration for a portfolio of separately managed investment vehicles
- Reconcile investment transactions, cash activity, and portfolio positions across multiple systems
- Collaborate with internal teams, brokers, custodians, and service providers to resolve transaction discrepancies
- Review month-end net asset value reporting prepared by third-party administrators
- Calculate management fees, incentive allocations, and other investment-related fee structures
- Compile year-end financial statements and tax support schedules
- Support external audits by coordinating with auditors and third-party service providers
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and operational procedures to improve efficiency
- Contribute to new product launches, system implementations, and finance transformation initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of hedge fund accounting experience
- Private experience preferred
- Experience with separately managed accounts (SMAs), investment portfolios, or alternative investment structures preferred
- Knowledge of investment transactions, net asset value (NAV) reconciliations, and portfolio accounting
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- CPA is a plus
