Essential Skills

• Proficient stick (shielded metal arc) and flux-core (flux-cored arc) welding skills, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Hands-on experience with welding in a steel fabrication or construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, scope sheets, and fabrication drawings.
• Strong measuring skills, including use of tape measures, architects scales, straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in inches, feet, and fractions.
• Ability to apply trigonometry concepts (such as the Pythagorean Theorem) to solve problems related to square, construction details, heights, lengths, widths, clearances, tolerances, and welding functions.
• Capability to understand construction and fabrication details and visualize construction three-dimensionally to translate into fabrication methods.
• Knowledge of tools and fabrication principles and the ability to apply them effectively to the work process.
• Experience operating and maintaining machines and tools used in the steel fabrication trade, and ability to detect faulty equipment operation.
• Strong communication skills, including clearly conveying information in speaking so others understand and giving full attention to what others are saying.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding verbal and written English.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods, even when distractions or interruptions occur.
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and a wide range of temperatures, from winter cold to summer heat and humidity.
• Commitment to completing health and safety training and following all safety procedures, including stopping unsafe work.
• Comfort working from heights on ladders with a safety harness, including up to two stories high.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 56 times per year) to assist with modular building installs, if required.
• Valid drivers license

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of New Holland, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Health Plan - costs decreased from previous year by 10%! $0 deductible plan starts at $137 per paycheck for single employee, up to $454 for family plan. Prices go down as deductible goes up every $1000 increment. Offer HSA account as well.
