About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with job.com to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Rochester, New York, 14445!

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting, with a strong focus on cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg and Telemetry environment
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Administer blood products safely and monitor for reactions
• Manage peripheral IV lines and ensure proper line care
• Provide oxygen therapy including nasal cannula and oxygen tank management
• Assist with non-invasive airway management
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Perform wound care and manage wound vac systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license 
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
• Strong experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Current ACLS certification (Required)
• Current BLS certification (Required)
• Experience with IV therapy and blood product administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
