Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and detailed observations.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individual speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing various aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families, empowering them to continue progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient assessments and treatment sessions, maintaining seamless care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous education and collaboration with peers to remain informed about advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of hire.
